Description
Inspired by David Weber's "On Basilisk Station" novel.
This painting is relatively new but I made the ship design prior to the official version of the ship appearing in the novel. I like my design and I continue to draw it. I created it in the mid to late 1990's. The design features a "double hammerhead" to match the description in the novel, but the design is based on the shape of formula one cars as well as the heads of hammerhead sharks.
One more detail in the drawing to portray the ship in the novel, the missile/gun ports on the front of the ship have dummy covers on them like there was some large device displacing the hardware that would normally be there.
