inspired by David Weber's Honor Harrington novels.

mild mid series spoiler ahead:

In the later books maybe it would be possible for Nimitz to send a mental image of what he was looking at to Honor if he was already able to send a made-up image of Honor as a treecat attacking her enemy caricatured as a mouse?

Hi,

Still no idea on tail ring position (Tip or Base) from the guys who check texts for facts, but evidence Wiki is wrong on age rings

Worlds of Honor: 'What Price Dreams': "[the treecat] was little more than a human meter in length from nose to prehensile tail-tip, and that same tail showed only six age bands. Since male cats threw out their first band at the end of their fourth Sphinxian year of life, then added another for each additional year, that made him nine planetary years—or just under forty-seven T-years—old." thus an eight year old scout would have 5 rings minimum.
I noted the discrepancy with text evidence on Wiki entry for treecats. see [link]

I PMed David Weber but still no answer.

I did remember one of the inspirations behind the "periscope" painting. I was thinking of a parody image, meme of "Why Mesa Obtaining And Experimenting On a Treecat Would Be Bad... For Mesa." with a treecat perched on a mind-controlled security guard's head in a lab or control center with "Carrie" or "Scanners" or "Akira" like destruction all about. I am worried it might be too controversial for the Baen bar or anywhere else David Weber might frequent. :)

Go on and post it I won't link, however I have included link to your general site in previous posts so I suggest labeling it Mature to prevent a casual visitor form the Bar or David's site from seeing. However I think you're being paranoid If David saw it he would probably say something like, "Yep, angry treecats are messy runsforcelery <G>"

My main site has evolved into being to being mostly here on DeviantArt. It's so much easier to maintain a gallery here. I have to figure out what I will do with my zenzmurfy site in the future. Maybe a re-direct to stuff here and youtube?

Thought you might like my treecat sidekick's opinion:

He titled it 'Periscope' but I would have titled it 'Sharks? Sharks!, I do'n' see no stinken sharks!'>

LOL, You must have read the other bar flies about piggy backing six or ten-year-olds around Europe. Since the German on Wiki opened fan art section in treecats would you mind me uploading the last four, and Furry Surprise on Wiki. Your treecats have a life and spontaneity that speaks to treecatphyles.
